... e conservarne la memoria è un po’ come non dimenticarsi
che nel tempo tutto scorre, niente rimane uguale come suggerivano
i filosofi greci. A questo scopo è nata a Soriano, una ridente
cittadina adagiata sui primi contrafforti delle Serre fra ulivi e
castagni, l’unica biblioteca monotematica specializzata nel
settore della cultura regionale, che costituisce ormai un importante
ed essenziale punto di riferimento per gli studiosi di cose calabresi.
È nata come gesto d’amore alla Calabria bella e sventurata, in spirito di orgoglioso servizio e con la voglia di dare un segnale culturalmente forte e civilmente chiaro. La Calabria che non si arrende e spera nel riscatto per la concordia dei suoi figli; questa Calabria voleva e doveva essere l’unico tema di approfondimento e di studio. Cosi è stato. Il primo nucleo, costituito in seno al Centro Culturale del Folklore e delle Tradizioni Popolari di Soriano con alcuni fondi librari, dono di famiglie e di studiosi, si è andato arricchendo ed ispessendo nel tempo con ulteriori donazioni ed acquisti mirati sul mercato dell’editoria corrente italiana e straniera e nelle librerie antiquarie. Oggi la biblioteca possiede oltre 15.000 volumi e più di un migliaio di testate periodiche, cessate o in corso, oltre a numerosi manoscritti, atti, documenti, brevi pontifici ed episcopali. Si è dato l’avvio alla formazione di un archivio fotografico e di una videoteca che raccoglie documentari e film di autori o su temi calabresi, ed è stato infine costituito il Gabinetto delle stampe e dei disegni calabresi. La pignata di fagioli che sobbolle lentamente al fuoco riporta alla memoria una tradizione che i libri possono solo descrivere. |

| La
vraie histoire, non seulement celle des livres, mais surtout celle
des peuples, des gens vient des traditions, dont la mémoire
cache le sentiment du temps qui s’enfuit et l’idée
des philosophes grecs que tout se transforme. À ce but on construit
à Soriano, riante petite ville placée entre oliviers
et châtaigniers sur les premiers contreforts des Serre, la seule
bibliothèque spécialisée dans le secteur des
cultures régionales; elle est devenue un point de référence
pour les studieux des traditions calabraises. Offerte comme manifestation
d’amour et d’orgueilleuse soumission envers une terre
merveilleuse et malheureuse, elle souligne l’exigence de proposer
une marque éclatante et décisive. La terre qui ne renonce
pas mais au contraire croit dans son revèlement en raison de
la communion de ses fils, c’est l’aspect de la Calabre
qu’on a traité et étudié. En effet le premier
noyau de la bibliothèque, créé dans le Centre
Culturel du Folklore et des Traditions Populaires de Soriano, s’est
enrichit, au cours des années, de donations et d’achats
bien visés sur le marché éditorial italien et
étranger. Aujourd’hui la bibliothèque possède
plus de 15.000 volumes et plus d’un millier de publications
périodiques achevées ou en cours de parution, des nombreux
manuscrits, des acts, des documents, des brefs pontificaux et épiscopaux.
On a soutenu la création d’un dépôt photographique
et d’une vidéothèque, qui collectionne des films
documentaires et des grands films d’art ou des films locaux
et on a constitué le Cabinet des estampes et des desseins calabrais. |

| The
history is not only written in the books, the true history made by
people, by common people, we can find it in the traditions, in the
lasting objects, and to maintain the memory means do not forget that
in the time everything slides, nothing remains identical like old
Greek philosophers said. For this, was born in Soriano, a charming
little town laid on the first buttresses of the Serre between olives
and chestnuts, the only library monothematic specialized in the area
of the regional culture, that is now an important and essential point
of reference for the scholars about calabrese things. It was born
as a loving gesture to the beautiful and unlucky Calabria, with proud
duty and with the desire to give a strong cultural signal and civilly
evident. Calabria that does not submit and hopes in redeem for the
concord of its sons; this Calabria wanted and it might be the only
subject of investigation and of study. So it happened. The first nucleus,
formed within the Cultural Centre of Folklore and of Popular Tradition
of Soriano with some books funds, families and scholars gift, it was
enriched and thickened in the times with other gifts and purchases
for the market of Italian and foreign current publishing and in the
antiquities bookshops. Today the library possesses over 15.000 volumes
and most of a thousand of recurring heading, ended or in circulation,
over a different manuscripts, acts, documents, short pontifical and
Episcopal. It is started to the formation of a photographic record
office and of a video that picks up documentaries and movies of authors
or about calabresi subjects, and at last, it was constituted the Study
of printings and calabresi drawings. |

| Die Pignata | ||||
| Die
Geschichte ist nicht nur diejenige, die in den Bücher steht;
die wahre Geschichte, die vom Volk und gemeinen Leuten, finden wir
in den Traditionen, in den Gegenständen. Wenn das in gutem Andenken
behält, vergisst man nicht, dass alles fliesst, nichts unverändert
bleibt, wie die griechischen Philosophen behaupteten. Zu diesem Zweck
entstand eine Bibliothek in Soriano, ein lachendes Städtchen
in den Serre unter Oliven- und Kastanienbäumen. Diese Bibliothek
ist in Regionalkultur spezialisiert und stellt einen wichtigen Anhaltspunkt
für Die Forscher Kalabriens dar. Die Bibliothek entstand als
eine großmütige Tat für diese schöne und unglückliche
Region, die nicht nachgibt und hofft, sich zu rehabilitieren; Kalabrien
sollte das einzige Thema zu lernen und vertiefen sein. Der erste Kern
der Bibliothek bildete sich mit Bücherschenkungsurkunden von
Familien und Gelehrten und bereicherte sich im Laufe der Zeit mit
weiteren Schenkungen und Einkäufen in italienischen und internationalen
Verlegern. Heute zählt Die Bibliothek 15.000 Bände, unzählige
Zeitschriften und zahlreiche Manuskripten, Akten, Dokumenten und Breves.
Man bildete auch ein photographisches Archiv und eine Videothek, wo
es Filme kalabrischer Autoren oder über kalabrische Themen verfügbar
sind und schließlich wurde ein Atelier kalabrischen Druckens
und Zeichnens gebildet. |
